Hi I'm Kim, owner of GuacEstrada. Growing up there was always my guac on my table after school. I grew up in Boston, MA, but my mom kept me connected with our Guatemalan roots through food. She made sure to teach me how to make guacamole "estilo guatemalteco", "Guatemalan style". She would explain that traditional Mexican guacamole is made with cilantro, white onion, tomatoes, among other things. Contrastingly, our Guatemalan recipe does not. As I grew older, I continued to share the guac with friends and my community. It was always a hit at parties and people began asking me to make them custom orders. I love sharing this food that was such a staple for me growing up, and to share that same bright taste and cultural experience with others is what GuacEstrada is all about.
